Limited Edition Halloween Potion Classes, an entire potions menu switch-up, Philly’s Most Magical Costume Party, Horror Movie Marathons, and a Drag-tastic Seance Await!

Philadelphia, PA - (September 28, 2023) - The Cauldron, Philadelphia’s enchanting haven for immersive mixology and magical experiences, is poised to cast a spellbinding Halloween Season that promises to leave guests enchanted. Nestled in Philadelphia’s Gayborhood, The Cauldron Philly is ready to dazzle Halloween enthusiasts with an enchanting lineup of events, featuring Limited Edition Halloween Potion Experiences all throughout October, spine-tingling Horror Movie Marathons, Philadelphia’s most exclusive Halloween Club Party for Hallo-weekend, and a fabulous Seance on All Hallow’s Eve.

Limited Edition Potions Experience: The Veil - All of October
Throughout October, The Cauldron presents its much-anticipated Limited Edition Potions Experience: The Veil. This chilling twist on their award-winning "Potions Experience" offers guests a glass of prosecco upon arrival and concludes with an eerie Ectoplasm Shot. The highlight of this enchanted evening is the exclusive Halloween Edition Potions Experience, featuring the never-before-seen interactive potion known as "The Maleficaria."
The Maleficaria is a sinisterly shimmering peach and bourbon martini served with DIY homemade spheres of dark, blackberry-flavored boba. Inspired by the recent release of “The Golden Enclaves,” the final book in the Scholomance trilogy by Naomi Novik, this cocktail weaves together references from Naomi’s trilogy and elements of shimmering gold, tangy intrigue and inky shadows. Crafted by The Cauldron’s ingenious “Magicineers,” in collaboration with Penguin Random House UK, guests to the Potions Experience will have the spellbinding opportunity to brew boba spheres at their table using "reverse spherification"—a process akin to the creation of Bubble Tea juice boba. Non-alcoholic mocktails are also available for both young and adult witches and wizards. Family Friendly times and alcohol-free Potion Classes are available for budding witches and wizards under the age of 21.
In addition, for the Autumn Term, The Cauldron has introduced a brand new interactive potions menu that takes inspiration from the spooky season. This term, the menu (from which Potions students choose 2 options) include “The Monster Mash,” “The Summoner’s Siphon,” and “The Forager’s Cauldron.” The Monster Mash is a spooky and smokey Scotch Old Fashioned with strong notes of banana, and which employs a muddled Cyclops eyeball (pickled onion) and Fairie Toenails (dehydrated Porcini Mushroom) for a complex and delicious flavor infusion. The Summoner’s Siphon is a warm apple and toffee vodka cocktail that is infused with AllSpice, cinnamon and fresh ginger, and served bubbling. True to The Cauldron’s British roots, The Forager’s Cauldron is a Earl Grey tea and dark rum cocktail, which has been infused with dehydrated and ground cranberries, figs, apple slices, and cacao, and brewed in a bubbling, cast iron cauldron. All three cocktails will only be on the potions menu until the end of December, when the entire menu changes again for the Spring Term.

On Saturday, October 28th, The Cauldron Philly will transform into an electrifying Halloween costume club night. Branded as "The Most Magical Halloween Party in Philly this Year," The Cauldron invites its patrons to unleash their creativity and compete for prizes in categories such as “best in show,” “most likely to haunt your nightmares,” “most iconic,” and “most Philly.” To top the evening off, two guests will be named “Scream Royalty.” and win a grand prize of $250 The night promises an enchanting atmosphere with a DJ, Bottle Service, and tantalizing Blood Martinis. Horror Movie Marathons - Friday the 13th & Ongoing
In the spirit of Halloween, The Cauldron is treating guests to a cinematic experience throughout October. Movie lovers can get cozy to streaming horror movies and enjoy a “trick” such as “The Blob,” “Ode to Mullica,” or “Three Witches” sharing cocktails, and cinnamon sugar Philly pretzel bites. For an extra dose of the supernatural, the evening of Friday the 13th will bring a particularly eerie movie marathon. Walk-ins are welcome.
Rocky Horror Live Show - Oct 17th
Live performances from the classic show by Brittny Lynn and the Drag Mafia, Come dressed as your favorite Rocky Horror character and the best costume wins a peak time potions class for 4 valued at $200.
