The Cauldron Chicago Brews Up an Epicly Witchy Halloween Lineup for 2023
Limited Edition Potion Classes, Chicago’s Biggest Halloween Costume Party, Horror Movie Marathons, and a Drag-tastic Witches Ball!

Chicago, IL - (September 28, 2023) -The Cauldron, Chicago's enchanting haven for immersive mixology and magical experiences, is poised to cast a spellbinding Halloween Season that promises to leave guests enchanted. Nestled in a former iconic bank in Wicker Park, The Cauldron is ready to dazzle Halloween enthusiasts with an enchanting lineup of events, featuring Limited Edition Halloween Potion Experiences all throughout October, spine-tingling Horror Movie Marathons in The Vault, Chicago’s grandest Halloween Club Party for Hallo-weekend, and a fabulous Drag Witches Ball!

Limited Edition Potions Experience: The Veil - All of October
Throughout October, The Cauldron presents its much-anticipated Limited Edition Potions Experience: The Veil. This chilling twist on their award-winning "Potions Experience" offers guests a glass of prosecco upon arrival and concludes with an eerie Ectoplasm Shot. The highlight of this enchanted evening is the exclusive Halloween Edition Potions Experience, featuring the never-before-seen interactive potion known as "Maleficaria”.
The Maleficaria is a sinisterly shimmering peach and bourbon martini served with DIY homemade spheres of dark, blackberry-flavored boba. Inspired by the recent release of “The Golden Enclaves,” the final book in the Scholomance trilogy by Naomi Novik, this cocktail weaves together references from Naomi’s trilogy and elements of shimmering gold, tangy intrigue and inky shadows. Crafted by The Cauldron’s ingenious “Magicineers,” in collaboration with Penguin Random House UK, guests to the Potions Experience will have the spellbinding opportunity to brew boba spheres at their table using "reverse spherification"—a process akin to the creation of Bubble Tea juice boba. Non-alcoholic mocktails are also available for both young and adult witches and wizards. Family Friendly times and alcohol-free Potion Classes are available for budding witches and wizards under the age of 21.

From Thursday through Saturday during Hallo-weekend, The Cauldron will transform its 10k sq ft iconic venue into an electrifying Halloween costume club night in collaboration with Bucketlisters. Branded as "The Biggest Halloween Party in Chicago this Year," The Cauldron invites its patrons to unleash their creativity and compete for prizes in categories such as “best in show,” “most likely to haunt your nightmares,” “most iconic,” and “most Chicago.” To top the evening off, two guests will be named “Scream Royalty.” The night promises an enchanting atmosphere with a DJ, Bottle Service, and tantalizing Blood Martinis. Horror Movie Marathons - Friday the 13th & Ongoing
In the spirit of Halloween, The Cauldron is treating guests to a cinematic experience throughout October. Movie lovers can cozy up in The Vault, an iconic bank safety deposit vault and speakeasy at the heart of The Cauldron's Chicago venue. Enjoy a "trick" (a cocktail from the delectable 10-Malort Cocktail menu, such as “Death by Pineapple”, “Michigan Avenue,” or a “Chicago Coffee”), a "treat" (one of their signature speakeasy concoctions, such as “The Blob,” “Ode to Mullica,” or “Three Witches” sharing cocktail), and some Caramel Apple Popcorn. For an extra dose of the supernatural, the evening of Friday the 13th will bring a particularly eerie movie marathon. Walk-ins welcome.
Family-Friendly Pumpkin Carving - Every Sunday in October
For families and pumpkin enthusiasts, The Cauldron is hosting family-friendly pumpkin carving activities every Sunday in October from 12-2pm. The ticket includes all the equipment and materials needed to carve or paint a pumpkin, as well as a mug of HallowCream cider upon arrival. This warm, spiced apple cider comes with homemade caramel whipped cream, and adults over 21 can opt to infuse their HallowCream with bourbon, spiced rum, or spiced pumpkin vodka for that extra Halloween treat. Dia de los Muertos Witches Ball Drag Show with Costume Contest - November 3
For those Dia de los Muertos aficionados with a flair for the fabulous, The Cauldron is conjuring up a drag-tastic celebration on Friday, November 3! Embark on a journey into the realms of campy and supernatural as you prepare for the most delightfully bizarre and entertaining afterlife experience ever imagined. Hosted by the enchanting Zenon TeaVee, The Witches Ball will commence at 10pm, ushering in a bewitching night of Day of the Dead revelry.
